NOTICES

January 23, 2009

Dear Aspen Mountain Condo Association Owners:

As you may be aware, as the result of a tragedy that occurred in Aspen in November, the City Council passed an ordinance requiring the installation of carbon monoxide detectors in all residential units in the City by March 2, 2009.

For your perusal and education, I have attached a copy of the ordinance and a brochure explaining how carbon monoxide works.

The Board of Directors has decided that in accordance with the Ordinance each unit owner is responsible for the installation of a CO monitor in the unit.

In one-bedroom units, a plug-in monitor in the living room and one in the bedroom should suffice.    For those units with fireplaces, a unit installed near the fireplace as well as one in each bedroom is recommended.

The Association will undertake the installation of monitors in the laundry room and the mechanical room.    If you have any questions, please give us a call.
